Playground
Experiments, simulations, and machining prototypes for tooling, cutters, and watchmaking workflows.
TL;DR: We are teaching a CNC mill to shape diamond tools.
Since Fusion360 fell short with its multi-axis tooling, this playground pushes precision machining by side-milling a solid carbide rod into gear tooth form cutters used to shape wheels in mechanical watches.
The cutter itself is being shaped with hand-crafted G-code and a CVD diamond-coated endmill spinning at 30,000 RPM.
This page is where the process gets visualized, simulated, and refined pass by pass.
